Terms of Service

Last updated 31 July 2026

1. Who we are

DolesePay is an electronic wallet service operated by Dolese Tech (registration no. 705039), Tanzania ("DolesePay", "we", "us"). These Terms form a binding agreement between you and DolesePay governing your use of our website, apps, and services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts.
  • You must provide accurate registration details and keep them up to date.
  • You may hold only one personal account unless we agree otherwise in writing.
  • The Service is intended for users in Tanzania; availability elsewhere is not guaranteed.

3. Your account and security

You are responsible for activity on your account. Keep your phone, one-time passcodes (OTP), and password confidential. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. We may require identity verification (KYC) before enabling or raising limits on certain features.

4. Your wallet balance

  • Your balance is denominated in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) and represents electronic value you can spend, send, or withdraw through the Service.
  • The balance is not a bank deposit and does not earn interest.
  • We keep a double-entry ledger of every credit and debit; your balance reflects settled transactions only.

5. Deposits (top-ups)

You can top up your wallet using supported mobile money networks (M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Tigo Pesa, HaloPesa) and supported cryptocurrencies (BTC, ETH, SOL, LTC, USDT) through our third-party payment partners.

  • Mobile money top-ups are credited once the network confirms the payment.
  • Crypto top-ups are credited in TZS once the required network confirmations are received, using the exchange rate applied at confirmation. Crypto transactions are irreversible — send only the stated asset on the stated network to the address provided.
  • Sending an unsupported asset, using the wrong network, or sending below the stated minimum may result in permanent loss of funds for which we are not responsible.

6. Sending money and payment requests

You can send funds to other DolesePay users by phone or email, and create payment-request links. Transfers are final once completed. Verify recipient details before sending — we cannot reverse a completed transfer sent to the wrong person.

7. Withdrawals

You can withdraw available balance to a supported mobile money wallet. Withdrawals are subject to verification, available balance, applicable limits, and partner processing times.

8. Limits and fees

Transaction and daily limits apply and vary with your verification tier. Any fees will be disclosed before you confirm a transaction. We may change limits and fees with notice where required by law.

9. Identity verification and compliance

We are required to perform customer due diligence and to monitor for fraud, money laundering, and terrorist financing. We may request identity documents, delay, decline, or reverse transactions, and freeze or close accounts to comply with applicable law or partner requirements.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • break any law, or facilitate fraud, money laundering, or sanctioned activity;
  • transact on behalf of someone else without authorisation, or impersonate anyone;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service.

11. Cryptocurrency risk

Cryptocurrency values are volatile and networks can fail or delay. The TZS value credited depends on the rate and amount actually received. You are responsible for using the correct asset, network, and address. We do not provide investment advice.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect users. You may close your account at any time once your balance is zero. Some records are retained after closure as required by law.

13. Availability and liability

The Service is provided "as is". We work to keep it available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by incorrect details you provide, third-party networks, or events beyond our reasonable control.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and, where changes are material, give reasonable notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tanzanian courts.
